If you look around, most of the items you see were likely produced in a distant country and then shipped across the globe. At Gelato, we believe this approach is slow, inefficient, and unsustainable. We envision a better way—one where products are made as they are sold, in the same market where they are consumed, by local producers and business owners. A way that enables ecommerce sellers and global brands to expand into new markets without the hassle of managing production, inventory, or logistics. A way that reduces transportation distances and waste from overproduction while strengthening local economies and communities.
